Id say just start with the manga. The problem I have with the anime is that it's only one season with no hints showing a season 2. Sounds like you would prefer the manga. No reason to watch the anime unless it's something you prefer. Yea you'll definitely prefer the manga.

Yeah and the group scanlating akatsuki no yona is fantastic. They also translate my other favorite manga skip beat which is a lot older and I started reading maybe 10 years ago and back then the scanlations were so terrible and there was no guarantee when you’d get the scanlations at all.

With Akatsuki no Yona, the music for the battle scenes and all didn't really match the tone of the scene for me. It wasn't bad but it could've been sooooo much better. Ikr, the dragons shocked me and I realised that this story had so much more to tell so I'm reading the manga from the start now ☺️
